  1. HELP! I need a DOS based phone dialer to use with Tattam's slipper. I
  2. tried PHONE program from the UMNSLIP package but it fails looking for the
  3. text "VERIFICATION".

  5. NEEDED:
  6.    DOS based phone dialer to use with Tattam's slipper
  7.  
  8. REQUIREMENTS:
  9.    Dials modem with Hayes compatible commands
  10.    Sets COM Port Baud rate up to 57,600
  11.    Sets Parity, Stop bits and Data bits
  12.    Can negotiate with remote host: send and receive text, etc.

  14. Please reply with:
  15.    Names or locations of any apps that can help
  16.    Source Code
  17.    Similar requests if you also need a dialer - I will inform you of my
  18. findings

  36. I just found winirc.exe yesterday (guess I really _was_ born
  37. yesterday) and I like it! Much easier to deal with than compiling
  38. the ircII client on a unix box although this is fairly automated
  39. also. My frustration arose when someone I was chatting with
  40. suggested some commands. When I tried them, the main window told
  41. me that the command was unrecognized. Which version of irc is
  42. winirc based on? Will there be an update? A help file? Are there
  43. some docs available which could help me? Some of my difficulties
  44. lie in my inexperience with irc.
